CJC’s governance focus under the leadership of the College Council, consolidates Council Committees, in terms of the FET Act 16 of 2006 and adopted College Statutes to improve risk management and governance effectiveness. The following are CJC Council Committee structures:

•       Academic Board;
•       Finance Committee;
•       Audit & Risk Committee;
•       Human Resources Management & Development (HRM&D) Committee;
•       Estates and Logistics Committee and
•       Institutional Development and Support (IDS) Committee & SRC.

As has already been initiated, the College Council continued with its annual review of college performance against planned strategic outputs to evaluate institutional achievement against set targets, thus strengthening the participation of members in both institutional governance and strategic leadership.
